This custom-designed 25x44m tent structure, with 4m-high side walls, covers the outdoor multifunctional sports field at the Secondary Forestry School in Hranice. The tent structure complies with all building regulations, including snow load requirements. Its exterior cladding features a design by an architect. It is also equipped with an interior thermal insulation fabric roof, entrance doors of appropriate technical design, ventilation walls with flaps, designer foil windows, and an extended fabric hem at the bottom to divert rainwater away from the structure. Additionally, interior and exterior lighting has been installed, along with two heating units with hot-air distribution.
The sports field can thus be operated year-round without difficulty under very pleasant indoor climate conditions.
Compared to inflatable halls, there are significant savings in the overall operating costs of this roofing system. Energy costs are much lower. There is no need to dismantle the structure for the summer; simply open the wall ventilation flaps. The roofing has flat walls, so it does not restrict activities inside. The hall is equipped with windows that provide contact with the outside environment and ensure the interior remains airy. And last but not least, this solution is much more cost-effective in terms of investment, including the preparation of the building foundation.
